Jerry K. L. Tan

Dr. Jerry K. L. Tan is an adjunct professor at the University of Western Ontario and in private practice in Windsor, Ontario. He is the principal investigator at a clinical research site, Windsor Clinical Research Inc.

Dr. Tan was the principal lead investigator in the Canadian Acne Clinical Practice Guidelines project. Currently, he is a principal lead investigator in the Canadian Rosacea Clinical Practice Guidelines workgroup involved in producing evidence-based guidelines for the successful treatment of rosacea in Canadian patients.

Along with co-principal investigators Drs. A. Layton and D. Thiboutot, their group was awarded a 3 year grant by the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to develop validated outcome measures in acne.

Dr. Tan has served on the organizing committee of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research workshop on skin disease research priorities and is a therapeutic advisor on evidence-based review panels in Canada and the United States. Dr. Tan has published more than 50 scientific articles in peer reviewed journals and presented research findings at national and international meetings.
